The Whisper Legacy continues to come with blue LED lights installed, although you can use no LEDs or switch to red or green lights (also included).

The Whisper Legacy also enjoys the status of being the "quietest rated fan" that Talismoon has ever produced thanks to the newest mechanism available, a sealed oil chamber that provides less friction than ball bearings.

Every Whisper Legacy comes with a bonus: the "Abzorber" noise vibration reduction system, in every package. To help reduce DVD drive vibration noise.

1. WHERE DOES THE "NITRO SWITCH" INSTALL?

The nitro switch installs behind either of the memory card doors. When you install the Nitro Switch, you will lose the ability to use that memory card slot. This will only affect gamers who use 2 memory cards simultaneously. The Nitro Switch does not change the memory card slot in any way: to regain use of the memory card slot simply remove the nitro switch.

2. DO I NEED TO INSTALL THE NITRO SWITCH?

No. The Nitro Switch is a module that you can install or not install as you desire. However, you must install the Nitro Switch if you wish to switch to 12v mode for more cooling.

3. CAN I INSTALL THE NITRO SWITCH ON THE BACK OF THE XBOX, LIKE ON THE WHISPER MAX?

No, it was not designed to do this.

4. THE NITRO SWITCH IS NOT WORKING WELL. WHAT DO I DO?

The Nitro Switch has been tested with many different Xbox 360 that have been manufactured over a wide time period, including launch day Xbox 360s.

I you have a 3rd party faceplate you may find that it is not made precisely the same and therefore needs a minor adjustment.

If you find that the nitro switch will not engage before you have the door completely pushed in then this suggests that the door is traveling too far. To reduce the travel distance of the door, you can add tape to the inside of the memory card door. This will reduce the travel distance incrementally and be invisible.

If you find that the door only moves a short distance, and cannot activate the switch properly, this means that the nitro switch is slightly too large. Try removing the black spacer that is on the switch post. You can also try shaving the black spacer down until the door moves a further distance before pressing the switch post.

5. DO I NEED TO HAVE LIGHTS?

No, you can remove the lights and the Whisper Legacy will continue to work.

6. IS THE ABZORBER AVAILABLE SEPARATELY?

The Abzorber is not available separately at this time. There is a more complete abzorber in the works. If you like the Abzorber and have an interest in a complete version, please notify our sales office of your interest and experiences with the free version.

7. HOW LONG WILL THE FREE BONUS "ABZORBER" BE OFFERRED?

The free Abzorber is only approved for the first production run of the Whisper Legacy. It is not known whether it will be included in future productions or if it will be offerred separately.

8. HOW DOES THE ABZORBER WORK?

The Abzorber reduces vibrations and wind noise from the DVD drive. The rubber of the Abzorber attempts to isolate the DVD vibrations. This reduces the volume and pitch of many DVD noises, which results in a much more pleasant experience.
